It has once again been a while since I last posted something. But once again my weekly stroll through the new metal releases urged me to make a shout out. This time for the new release from the Dutch symphonic black metal band Carach Angren.
If there is one release I’ve been really looking forward to, it has to be the debut album from VUUR. The new band with veteran Anneke van Giersbergen (ex-The Gathering) on vocals. Their first album is set to release this fall.

It has already been a few months since I last wrote something here, so it was about time. And what is a better reason to write something again than a new record from Epica!
Finally, it has been released. Just over a year ago “The Gathering” celebrated their 25th anniversary with a special concert at the Doornroosje venue in Nijmegen. It was one of their best gigs ever. And today we can finally listen to it again through physical and digital means.
Damn, the physical version (I know, I’m kinda old fashioned) still hasn’t arrived by mail, but Mayan’s new epic masterpiece is already available on Spotify. Feast your ears!
